An example of a place where rescue could be difficult

The crawl inventory field is used to list stations which need to be noted as a potential issue for rescue. If the crawl is less than 12 inches or so, it may require additional consideration as feet and noses may scrape the ceiling in normal sked configuration. Any station which would present difficulty for a rescue litter or sked should be listed, not necessarily just true crawls. Narrow passages; quick turns; and squeezes of any kind should be listed. Pits and unroped climbs or chimneys have their own category.
